Andrea Mason is committed to delivering long-term positive change to the communities across the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Lands. This is a responsibility she has had since joining NPY Women’s Council in 2008. In April 2010 she was appointed to the position of Coordinator and then CEO. In 2017 when Jawun launched the Indigenous Corporate Leadership program, Andrea was seconded from NPY Women’s Council to The Westpac Group for 9 months, where she was National Manager of Customer Advocacy at St. George Bank.

Andrea’s relationship to NPY Lands is professionally and personally strong. A proud Western Australian, her mother’s people are Karonie and her father’s people are Ngaanyatjarra. Andrea believes her role as CEO of the Women’s Council is one of facilitating and coordinating work that leads to improved outcomes for NPY women and their families.

Andrea is now Commissioner for the Royal Commission into violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of people with a disability
